It is hard enough traveling with the child once they are born. The loads of baby toys, first aid, diapers, etc. But it takes plenty of planning before that. While pregnant you have to strategize the trips. Sitting so that you can see the road to avoid yacking. Plenty of protein beforehand, and plenty of snacks on the road. The key is to not be dehydrated, but to not have to stop the car and pee every time. The first stop is kinda funny to your carpool mates. The second and third stops, well then the generosity wanes and the traffic thickens. It is all downhill after the first stop. So I power up on fluids two hours before hand and taper to no H2O one hour beforehand. Booya! No pee on the road. Well, theoretically. I will let you know how it goes this time…
